HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hope everyone's doing well. Of course, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2009 has come to an end and it's almost 3 years since I'm in canoeing. Despite the short time span, I'm proud of the team that everyone trains hard and improve. Not forgetting the womens champ title that we NYP GIRLS had fought back TOGETHER AS A TEAM. That moment of joy will always be remember dearly.

But given all this, I hope that we're all not disillusioned with the fact that POL-ITE is the finishing line to our journey in learning. Well really, this is just the beginning. It is like growing up, where we struggled to learn how to stand, walk, run and jump. When we finally graduated from infant-hood, then we're off to discover the many wonderful potentials that we have. As long as passion lies, we will never stop.

There is no end to our path in canoeing, but only the goal to make yourself even stronger, faster, and generally, better. I have bear these in mind throughout my 3 years journey with the team. No matter how much we train, there's always someone out there who's better then all of us, so we can only hope to be prepared for challenges. And this is a point where I believe is important to us.

We have all stepped into canoeing not knowing what to expect but we know somehow there's something about canoeing that will make us a better person in a way or another. No doubt, majority of my time is spent in canoeing for the past 3 years, it has been a fulfuling and a great one.

As year 2009 comes to a swift end, I have indeed experienced the painfully harsh reality of this broken world. I am reminded once again to hold my loved ones closest to my heart, as nothing in this world could ever come close to.

As I think back on the year and how much I've grown and progressed from it, I feel a deep sense of gratitude to those who have stuck with me throughout all my ups and my downs. 2009 has been hell of a rollercoaster ride, and if it was not to those vital people in my very life, I doubt I could be where I am today.

Everyone around me has been patient, accommodating, understanding and loving. I had never asked for your love, but you poured it out nonetheless, and for that I am eternally indebted to you.

Today marks a significant milestone in my life, as I have re-discovered that the love given from all of my loved ones supersedes anything in this immaterial world. Goodbye year 2009 - I've worked hard and gotten my fair share of your spoils.

Hello year TWO-OH-ONE-ZEROOO! It is going to be an AWESOME one, ever.
