Just need a breather

Realized that I haven't been blogging for so long oh gosh. Anyway life's been very busy for me at least and thank god that my bridging exam is over. I know I tried my best.

Working wise I am pretty adapted though the nature of my job is ain't no positive. What's new with all the complains and shoutings from customers everyday? Oh well I just have to be cheerful and I know it will be stupid if I allow these strangers to upset me. Singaporeans are generally living up to their name of complain kings. Okay whatever.

Having a full time job now does not allow me to take up a CCA in the university which is somehow disappointing but knowing that I will lesser the burden of my parents is enough to make myself feels better. Very much I would like to commit in SIM DB, I know I will not have the time to do so. Maybe this is what we call it in life; sacrifices.

So is it true that we can't have the best of both world? Hmmmm, I think so.

Recently I have landed myself in a very messy and sticky situation and I really don't know what to do now. I know I will have to take responsibity for the decision that I make. Alright maybe I just need a little more time.

People, don't guess and don't ask me anything. Maybe everything is gonna be alright, maybe.

What I'm relief is that I have no work for the next two days - both Sat and Sun! How nice is that when you can have the weekends off? Hell yeah I am so tired of the work-6-days-off-2-days kind of shift pattern. Good thing is that school will only commence in end of sept for the year 2s.

Work is ending in 2 and a half more hour and I'm using my meal break time to blog. I know who the hell works at such wee hours? Yes I'm working the 11pm to 8am shift now and it's the 7th month. Oh wells.

Just need a breather.

No more blues

Loves this picture best. The girls, each of us from different background, comes together and form one team, and had the same goal. Everyone's face, all plastered with a big smile, nothing else but satisfaction. The sweat, effort, and time, that were put in this sport are all worth it.

So glad to meet up with some of them on last sat for BBQ even after graduation. Happy to see them once again. I'm thankful for having such a wonderful batch as team mates, as friends. And I miss canoeing, I miss the torturous land / water training, I miss everyone else. Some part of me wish to continue this sports in SIM, yet part of it wants to try something else. Like Dragonboat? Will be going down this Sunday for DB Orientation!

It's a Monday, I know, I shouldn't be blogging away when I have work and school tomorrow blah blah blah and the never ending list goes on. Anyway, met up with Laoni at town today after work for dinner and movie. Surprisingly most of the slots are sold out on a Monday and we were left with little option. Watched Shanghai, starring Gong Li and Chow Yun-Fat, and I like the movie I must say although the ending is abit abrupted as we were expecting more I guess.

Says, no more Monday Blue!

FOD

OG26
Orientation Day was such a bore. The games and everything was not fun and basically I was planning an escape plan the whole morning. Maybe because I don't know anyone and I really can't be bothered to make new friends. Sorry but I just can't stand JC kids and god knows it, more than half from my OG are from JC. However, the afternoon seems much better after getting to know a friend or two, thank god. We forsee that the next two years are going to be nothing but gossips and more gossips, right? LOL! After orientation was econs class. Trust me, we were so tired by then but we still drove down to Bukit Timah and have supper after class.

Next day was enrolment talk. I requested for 2 days leave from work initially but I was approved of only 1.5 days. Damn it. So I went to work from 8am to 12.30pm and headed to school for enrolment talk from 1 to 5pm and attended econs class from 7 to 10pm. I was very exhausted at the end of day and quitting my job was the only thought that was in my head the whole time.

Saturday was spend sleeping at home the whole day to recharge my body. Trust me I am very tired from working in the day and studying in the night. So I slept the whole day and wake up in the evening to watch some movies at mio tv. Anyways I'm so guilty of ps-ing my friends again and again. I'm so so sorry my friends. I promise I will turn up the next time round alright. Eh public apologies okay. I guess I'm getting lazier. I used to hang out til late night on Saturdays but now I just want to stay home and rest.

I really dreaded working now. I can't stand my manager and the customers are even worst. People say, work for passion or for the salary? That's it, I go for the latter. Yeah superficial I might be, but I couldn't care less now. I may just work until I earn enough to pay my school fees for the first sem and I'll think of other alternative. I don't care if the bank is paying me more than 2k but I'm really sick of the customers who call and irritate the hell out of me every single day of my life. Oh god. I'm only looking forward to the weekend now.

Okay it's Sunday, AhMeng's day. We planned to go JB today for some cheap thrills like shopping and eating but I decided not to. I thought that we could go other days but a Sunday??? Then Meng was suggesting to go to Pulau Ubin for seafood! Hokay, I'm going to get prepare now. Enjoy your weekend, dude!

Happy Daddy's Day

Greetings! How's weekend? I simply love it! Turned down my friends who were suggesting to go town to stay home on a Saturday to catch up on my sleep til late afternoon followed by a random dinner at Sushi Tei Paragon with my sis and aunt. Totally love chilling and relaxing after a hectic week of work. And, apologies to Joanna for not coming down to paddle with you on Sat. I tried my best to wake up but my body refuses. Oh no.

So here am I blogging away on a Sunday night, after a movie date with AhMeng. Watched she's out of my leauge. Not too bad but I prefer Karate Kid. If only I'm younger, I would prolly fall in love with Jayden Smith. He is so damn cute I swear. Oh wait, it's Daddy's Day today! So my sis and I treat my dad and mum to Bak Kut Teh at Chong Boon Food Centre. The food is really nice and we are bound to go back again, right right?

Anyway, I got selected to work shift from July onwards, which is a rare opportunity considered that I only worked for 3 months. Normally it takes 6 months for one to get promoted to shifter. But I declined due to school reason, yes I even send my lesson timetable to the HR and there is no way I can compromise my schedule. I know I will get $300 more every month once I become a shifter but I can't work night shift and midnight shift cos it will clash with my school timetable. Hence I will only be starting shift in August after my bridging exam as I will be having holiday then til my actual 2 years full time degree commence in Sept.

It's the World Cup now and everybody is like going maniac over the unpredictable result this year, including my bro and sis. And I can't even get a seat for god's sake at the Serangoon Mac when I merely went there for supper, not for World Cup obviously. I haven't watch a single match since it started more than a week ago as I'm not a soccer fan and I'm not even trying to be one. BOO!

Okay, I'm over my iPhone. Ya as if. Fuck you bitch for stealing my phone. FUCK YOU FUCK YOU AND FUCK YOU! Got to go to bed now. Working at 7am shift for this coming week. Damn it.

Rainbow after the rain

Like a finally, met up with BFF JUDY KUNG on Saturday! Most of the time was spent catching up with each other and unknowing we chatted for hours! Chilled at Plaza Sing Mac eating ice cream and milk shake followed by dinner at Ajisen. Wanted to catch a movie after dinner but most of them was either selling fast or sold out. Hence we went shopping! I bought a dress from Forever 21 and she bought a top. And home sweet home at 12 midnight!

As usual, Sunday is spend with AhMeng. We went to Tanjong Katong for Bak Kut Teh and we ordered cereal chicken as well. Yums yums! Next up was walking around Parkway Parade, or should I say idle around? Okay here's something random. AhMeng called my house at 1am last night and I kinda got a shock. I mean who will call people's house at 1am? Alright, he called my house because he message me and called my handphone but I did not respond the whole night so he thought something happen to me. Like what? Suicide over lost of iPhone? LOL! Oh come on baby! I did not reply because I can't get use to this old phone please. And he called just to ask me whether he can go clubbing with his friends or not. I told him, tell me for what!?!? HAHA! Seriously, there is no need to report your whereabout or seek permission. I do not restrict other's freedom I repeat. Trust, is what make us stay together yeah? But still, thanks for informing. It's a kind of respect I guess?

It's the start of the new week again. It's gonna be a super busy week with work, school, and all but I love it. Oh did I mention that my company is going to date us for movie again on this coming Thursday? Thank god it's not Toy Story 3, although it got the same number of vote as Karate Kid. So they introduce Prince of Persia and thank god again, after voting the 2nd round, Karate Kid got the most number of votes yayness! And this coming Sunday will be class BBQ at West Coast and I'm not too sure if I want to go. It's damn far please.

It's the Monday to Friday 8am - 5.30pm shift for the whole of next week, with half day off on Wednesday (to compensate for working on Saturday). As long as it's not the 7am shift or Saturday shift, I'll be very happy. And school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 7pm to 10pm. So people, don't date me out for the time being until my bridging course exam is over in August. Trust me, it's not easy nevertheless I'm trying my best to cope between work and studies. Arighty my bed is calling me. Goodnight world!

What goes around comes around

TO THE MOTHERFUCKER WHO STOLE MY IPHONE, AND IF YOU ARE EVEN READING THIS FROM MY IPHONE, FUCK YOU ALRIGHT. FUCK YOU, BITCH!

Do you believe in Karma? I do, I personally believe in what goes around, comes around. Nothing is free in this world. When you gain something, you lose something, vice versa. Yeah it's my carelessness and also my misfortune of letting you this kind of greedy shit motherfuck who do not return what's not even yours. Well it's also not your luck that the iPhone you found belongs to me cos I will curse you every single day until the day you die. May your child borns without hand and your boyfriend/husband sleeps with other woman and dump you this pathetic soul. May you get knock down by a truck when cross the road and may you lose your limbs or kidney or die of some incurable diseases. And, when you use my iPhone and look into the mirror, do realise how ugly and how greedy and how pathetic you are. You know what, GO AND DIE BITCH!

Oh wait, thank you for giving me a reason to own a iPhone 4g and now I can recontract to student plan. It's not as if I can't afford another iPhone seriously. Fuck you greedy bitch with such smelly face!

The more we get together, the happier we'll be.

Happy 17th!
It's only until the end of day do we realised that it's the 17th today. Random much, hence the activity for today was Movie Marathon! Watched Prince of Persia and Nightmare of elm street (like finally someone willing to watch with me) today. Both are awesome show I swear. And speaking of nightmare, I just had one this morning which explains my wallpost "We should not take peace for grunted". Bloody nightmare, killings everywhere in Sg. May I have sweetdreams tonight please!

As usual, the whole week was spent working working and working. How BORING! Oh yeah, my bridging class had started. Re-learned Algebra, expansion factorization and logarithms. Again BORING! So when everyone else is listening attentive in class and doing their work diligently, iPhone is my best companion. Facebooking, ebuddying and games thank god. I mean I did not bring my notes (yeah I have not even print my notes) and I learned these when I'm in Secondary 1, as if it's something new. And I'm drained from work can. I'll pay more attention when I attend my econs class next week, ya right.

Work and school aside, weekend is definitely partay time! Met up with team mates on Friday at town after work. Dinner at Crystal Jade Kitchen, followed by dessert at Macs, and some shopping before our midnight movie starts. I bet, Ashton Kutcher is the reason that is keeping me awake at such wee hours. Charming, handsome face, hot bod and everything else. Oh wait, I'm just stating the fact HAHA!

I think I am crazy to be blogging at this hour, time check 2.00am, when I'm working at 7am tomorrow. For the whole week in fact, I'm schedule for the 7am to 4.30pm shift. And badminton after work with the girls tomorrow. I'd better go to bed now if I am still in the right mind. Oh god, it's another week again.

Maybe two is better than one

Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.

life should be filled with ice-cream, good movies and wonderful company.

It was a hectic but fun-filled week. Tuesday was Chor Liang's 21st so together with few of my classmates, we went to Pasir Ris Coasta Sand for his birthday celebration! His Panda Cake, cool or what? Seeing my classmates once again makes me happy!

Happy 21st Chor Liang! After which, drove around downtown in a 7 seater car which my classmate had rented and my friend hit the curb with a loud bang when she makes a turn. it was so scary please. And after the celebration, my classmate's parents drove us home!

And come Wednesday, it was dinner with AhMeng at Serangoon. Thanks for travelling the distance for me, knowing that I'm so exhausted from work. Tsk! hang out late at the Chalet the previous night what. Haha.

And Thursday, met up with team mates for dinner at Marche 313 somerset. It was a great catching up session, and of course, what is fun without gossips? Haha. Seriously I miss the times paddling and training together with them. It's the kind of bonding among the girls team that is built over the 3 years that no others can understand.

Moving on to Friday, it was well spent sleeping at home. I'm so glad that this day is a public holiday as I really need a day off from work to rest and replenish my energy. Sleep in til late afternoon and dinner was dining out with AhMeng at Bukit Timah Mad Jack followed by Island Creamery! Yums Yums! I'm missing the ice cream already.

Actually working on a Saturday morning is not that bad after all. Maybe I'm getting used to it already. Met up with girlfriends at town after work, good thing is that my workplace TPY is so near town! Saw Heni working at Taka and she gave us some free make up essence / water sleeping pack / mask / cream from LANEIGE! Maybe I should start taking care of my complexion ha. It was Ajisen Ramen for dnner followed by Sex and the City 2 at night. It's a damn good show, and I highly recommend it.

Camwhoring while Laoni is trying out her swimming wear

What can I say? IT'S REALLY AN AWESOME WEEK! Though it's tiring at the end of day, it's all worthwhile I'd say. Be it with Secondary School friends, Poly friends or team mates, life is never bore with friends around. Hell yeah managed to meet up with most of them this week after work!

Despite my already hectic schedule, my bridging class in SIM will be starting in 1st June. Seriously I can't wait to go back to school! Will be seeing many farmilar faces and shall be classmates once again! So for this 2 months, I'll be working from 8.00am to 5.30pm and attending school from 7.00pm to 10.00pm (4 times a week). Fred not my friends, I will still be free on weekends I promise! Come August when my class starts in morning, I hope UOB will be flexible to accomodate my studies.

To get a UOL Banking and Finance Degree with 1st class honour in 2 years time is what I am going to aim, target and achieve. So, let's just be discipline alright. Will prolly go running tomorrow, hopefully!

Ciaos.

It's all about you

It's all about you it's all about you baby. Yesterday you asked me something I thought you knew, so I told you with a smile. It's all about you. Then you whispered in my ear and you told me too said you make my life worthwhile. It's all about you.

Dedicated to you, with love.

Sentosa, B&J, Movie, present, and a YOU! Thanks for making it happen, next year will be RWS. Can't wait!

TGIF! A random fact, Friday is my favourite day of the week. But why is Friday so near to Monday and Monday seems so far away from Friday? Anyway the long weekend is here again, like finally can? Loves public holiday, especially when it falls on Friday! And May is one of the best month, cos not only there are public holidays (Labour Day and Vesak Day), it's also my birthday!

HAHAHAHAH!!! Okay, ignore the above paragraph. It doesn't makes sense anyways.

I know I'm kinda late in posting (late is better than never), but thanks people for all the birthday wishes and to my irreplaceable group of friends - DLACKY. Thank you Dolly, Annis, Joanne, Chia Yee and Laoni. I love the card that you made for me, the polariod camera, the cake that you design, the celebration, and most importantly, your presence. Time waits for no man

Greetings Earthlings! I'm sorry for the dead blog nowadays. I'll try to update weekly, I'll try. I'm sorry for my disappearance too, I know. Everyone's been saying that I am MIA-ed. Well well well, what else but work? I been scheduled to work OT, even on Saturday. As if a 5 day work week ain't enough. Nonetheless, OT is quite well paid. If it wasn't for the offer "for every 4 hours OT clocked, you will get an additional $40 Isetan voucher", on top of the OT pay $10++ per hour. Or else I wouldn't agree to my manager to work OT.

OH OH OH! Did I mention that I'm transferred to Toa Payoh permenantly from tomorrow onwards? As Toa Payoh is for shifter, meaning if you work night / midnight shift, then you will get to work in Toa Payoh as UOB call centre is operating 24 hours. While Alexandra is for normal office hours. I hope I get to work shift soon so I'll get more allowance! I am so glad that I no need to wake up so early everyday now. A single bus trip of 20 min to Toa Payoh compared to a bus-train-bus trip of 1 hour 15 min trip to Alexandra, I couldn't wish for more already. Now I can sleep more and save on transport fare (which is really a killer I swear). More food choices also yay!

Work aside, I have accepted the offer from SIM, BSc Banking and Fincance. Yeah I know, many had asked me to re-consider with my result. I mean, it takes only 2 years to complete my degree and most of my classmates with GPA above 3.5 are going into SIM as well, so why not? Most of all, I can also save alot on my school fees, which I can even barely afford myself. Hell no I'm not taking a single cent from my dad and mom. So my mind is made up, I have already paid for the bridging courses, which starts next month. Hell yeah my salary for the first month has all gone to pay for my school fee. I have no choice but to work full time and give tuition after work. No one likes to work so hard, trust me. It's not for money, but education.

Alrightey, I don't have much wishes for my birthday. I just hope that my dad and family stay healthy, and a gathering with girlfriends. Shall stop here for now. I'm seriously running late already, Meng and I are going for Buffet later for my advance Birthday celebration! If time allows, prolly going to Sentosa. Someone brings me to the RWS can? It sucks to be underage. Oh wait, I am young, not yet 21.

Sunday, May 9, 2010

You only have one choice.

We don't get to choose the events that occur in our lives. But we can choose with what mentality we are using, to face it.

In a delimma now, not sure which University to accept. 4 years or 2 years?

Work is as boring as hell

Haven't been blogging for the longest time. What can I say? This job robs away my time and energy, totally. Well, it is an understatement. It seems like a routine already. Wake up at 6am from Monday to Friday, travel to Alexandra from Serangoon, work from 8am to 5.30pm, then go tuition/out/home. And hit my bed by 10.30pm. How boring. Weekend is simply the best I swear.

Anyways, caught a few good movies over the past 3 weeks. I must say, Ip Man 2 is really an awesome show, that I downloaded Ip Man 1 to watch after watching Ip Man 2. Besides this, Monga is really nice as well. Because there is Ruan Qing Tian lol. Oh! Kick Ass and Bounty Hunter are pretty good shows too! And, please don't watch Shutter Island cause it suck big time. Will prolly catch Iron Man 2 this weekend!

Went to pub last week at the M Hotel, really nice ambience and great company most importantly. Had stayed-over last weekend as well followed by Mac Breakfast on Sunday Morning! Man oh man, I missed having Mac Breakfast in school with classmates, especially.

That's all folks. Going out for my dinner now! Looking forward to dinner at Sushi Tei tomorrow. Loves Friday.

Drives me crazy

Having a full time job is worst than I thought. Besides having to adhere to schedule everyday, working in a bank is stressful enough. When I say I'm okay, I'm lying. It's a shame to say that singaporeans are actually ugly people, when I say it, I mean it. But why is it that customers are always right? Besides threatening to cancel banking relationship with the bank and demand to talk to manager, what else? Just go ahead and cancel your credit card, I'm more than willing to proceed with your request. Rich people and typical Singaporeans, sigh... So much for tolerating their nonsens, I'm losing motivation. Well, I guess it's a trade off between the stress level and salary.

Anyway I'm scheduled to work the 8am to 530pm shift for the coming week. Kill me please! Which means I have to wake up at 5.30 everyday. Need 1 hour plus to travel down to Alexandra I'm not joking. Dislike the thought of waking up so early. On a happier note, I got a half day off on Thursday and a full day off on Friday! And I got no Saturday shift, unlike my colleauges! Haha. Least it makes me feel better. Looking forward to the long weekend!

Looks like the rain and the storm had finally stop. Napped the whole day in this nice weather. Seriously, need to recharged my energy. It's been a tiring week. As well as to get ready for the battle on Monday again. Saturday night here I come! If only everyday is a weekend, yeah I wish.

Great Team Mates

Did I mention that I love this week totally? Not only there's a public holiday, but a long weekend as well! When you start working, as in full time work, you will learn to cherish public holiday absolutely. So Good Friday was well-spent with my lovely team mates! The first half of the day was spent catching up on my sleep at home. No, I'm not a pig. But a master.

Life Afterall

Hello Humans! I'm backed. Been neglecting this space for quite some time I know. Trust me, I haven't touch my notebook for weeks already. Feel so cut out from my social life. So here am I, finally, have the time to sit down and give a short update.

It's been 2 weeks since I have started work at UOB. It's a pretty nice environment with nice people and I like it so far. And after work, it's either going to the hospital or going tuition. At the end of the day, I can't wait to head straight for my bed. That's about it.

Anyhows, thanks to those who have shown concern. Totally appreciated, I'm alright now. On a happier note, my dad is discharged from the hospital and is resting at home. While my mum looks after the stall with another helper. So, business as usual!

OHOHOH, my sister just flew back from Hong Kong yesterday! Gosh, time flies. It's been more than a month and needless to say, we missed her so much. However she is here only for a few days and is going back to work.

To rewind, last week was MR500 and I went down to bedok on Sunday to see the finals. Good news is, Meng won a Gold Medal for his T1 race! Congrats. Your effort has been paid off definitely. Time to work baby!

So what's next? I'll be damn busy for this upcoming week as well. Work, tuition, team chalet and work again. I miss my friends, I miss dlacky. I'm kinda deprived from social life, I think.

Sunday, March 21, 2010

Wish you good, wish you well.

All I want now is for you to get well. Father, we are all here for you. Let's pull through this together.

Friday, March 19, 2010

What a peaceful morning

Blogging at such early hours, I know right. Not that I have wake up from my sleep. Fact is, my body clock is totally screwed I swear. Will only go to bed when daybreak is here. These has been going on for the past 2 weeks. Like how I sleep in til 4.30pm today cos I slept at 7am. I am still damn awake now although its 5am already.

Anyways, I love watching all the ah mas and aunties rush to the wet market with their trolleys every morning (my ah ma is one of them), just to buy fresh fruits, fish and vegetables to feed a whole generation who are more used to sleeping in til past noon, waking up for lunch and wonder where all that food came from.

Still, I love it when I wake up and see that lunch is already on the table. Besides eating and sleeping and watching tv everyday, my life is such a bore. Can't wait to start work in UOB. 3 more days! Hopefully, I'm still able to continue to teach tuition on weekends.

Wonder should I go to bed now cos I'm gonna have breakfast with Meng at Chinatown market in a few hours time. I can't help but obliged though I'd want my beauty sleep more. Not that I consider breakfast as one of my 3 meals, I'd prefer supper really. And also not that we have the whole day with each other. He has training at Macritchie later in the afternoon.

Dear baby.
Seriously, I really don't mind you training everyday this holiday and meeting for just a meal once in 3 days and watching movie on weekend. I'd say it's enough, just right. Glad that you have a passion in life and I'll support you all the way. Matter of fact, I'm glad that you're not the sticky type at all and I'm happy with the way things are now. Cos I really can't stand sticky people at all. Just find them irritating, no I'm not pointing at anyone. Don't have to feel that you neglect me because of training, cos I have my own things to do as well. Even when you go NS (soon right NDU?), life would still be the same since, not like the time spend together would decrease greatly, it's the same. So, when you don't have trainings in the morning, please have enough sleep and not asking me out for breakfast cos I don't know if I should sleep now as it's 5.45am already. Okay I know I am contradicting. Bottom line is I want you to have plenty of rest cos I know you are drained from all the double/triple training session everyday. Don't worry, I'm always here for you. Anyway Jiayou for MR500! Not sure if I'd be down or not still, give it your best and train well and well this 1 week. I may seem aloof or I don't care but I actually do. So I have pen down my thoughts. Shall see you later.
